When replacing a motherboard do I have to reinstall Windows? I will be replacing a motherboard with the exact same motherboard since it's in an HP machine. Will I have to redo anything when I make the swap or since they are the same will it be okay? Thanks.

You should not have to reinstall at all as all the drivers and everything reacts the same. However windows recognizes a computer by the motherboard it could happen that you'd have to call Microsoft though I do not know if windows would recognize the difference. Either way same install should not be a problem at all, the reinstall are needed due to different chipsets and possibly other on board items that are different as well.
