have you ever walked into a REAL musical concert, like the ones where a bunch of people holding a instrument and actually play music, and not those pop/rap/rock concert like Eminem or whatever?

you will notice the first thing u walk in (or when u buy the ticket) someone will hand you a brochure of some kind. On it has the list of titles the folks are going to perform in order, and probably the approx. run time on them.

Does anyone ever think about WHY they give you these brochures other than the fact that they tell you what music they are going to play?
They are there in hopes that you dont freaking CLAP in the middle of the freaking performance.

I really hate people clapping in the middle of the damn concert.
You can easily tell apart from the educated ones and the retards by seeing the retards clap after one of the movement has finished not knowing the entire piece isnt done. So all you would hear, on the beginning of the next movement is a bunch of people clapping like retards and not the music.

It ruins the concert recording, but thats besides the point. I guess one can always argue that they can remove the claps during post production.
What sucks is it ruins it for everybody else who are actually there to appreciate music.

They should license concert goers. Give them a music test, if you dont pass, you are stupid, and should not go to concerts.

I've been to lots of concerts like the kind you're talking about, and I've come to 2 conclusions regarding the applause:

1) Some listeners aren't entirely familiar with the song and think it's the end

2) Some listeners are familiar with the song and are congratulating the aritst because he/she nailed a technically difficult part of it

What you hear is a little of both, IMHO.
