This article is correct in the gaming department for sure... I've been running 4gb or ram for about 2 years now and in Mass Effect 2 and little in Borderlands I noticed small areas of missing textures or shimmering like the texture was partly but not fully there. I assumed it was nothing more than the AMD video card drivers or the game. So after reading this article I upgraded to 8Gb and no longer have shimmering or the odd missing texture in either game. As an extra added bonus I disabled my swap file in Windows7 64bit and no longer have the odd stutter in games caused by the hard disk loading stuff to the game.

If you get get at least 6Gb, it'll improve graghics and disabling swap file will improve game play. It even improves load times and ram is cheap at this time.
