Can we merge them or something? Also, maybe prevent google from archiving it? I wouldn't want to explain my high school patheticness to my grandkids or my election opponent or something

Hah... I"ve tried to restore it.
Here are the most recent backups from the board (01/06). I didn't have anything newer on the system. Kept most on the server.
Spring Break Thread - http://www.3dnow.net/files/000001._cgi
and a special treat!
The Quote Thread - http://www.3dnow.net/files/000004._cgi
If anyone can make a program that quickly translates these to either HTML or a format that phpbb can handle... please do so!
You can just download the files and change the extensions to .htm and it's somewhat viewable. I'd say the quote thread turned out better when I did that. And the Spring Break thread is easier to just click on in a raw format.

What kinds of format can phpbb handle? Any sources of documentation or something useful? I'm unemployed and bored so I might as well do something with my time.

Well I'm really not even sure what the actual format looks like. The forums are kept in a database and I'm not even sure how to access just the thread files. If thats even possible.
Haven't been able to figure it out yet.

what kind of data base then? It's easy enough to bring these .cgi into excel/access and then once I know what database phpbb wants it shouldn't be to difficult.
HAHA, ok, back to reality. It should be possible to bring from excel/access into whatever DB is needed. I guess I can load up a phpbb install on my web space and play with it.
