Today marks the beginning of the end of the world. For, today is the day that I have discovered that I will be reproducing in nine months. I feel for everyone who is inconvenienced by this, but it was inevitable. I was bound to procreate sooner or later. So, to all my friends out there, we're gonna have a baby!
I'm really hoping for a little girl. There are mostly males in my family, and a great deal in my wife's family as well, so we're really hoping for a little girl. We'll see what happens as time goes on, but as I'm sure many of you know, this is quite exciting. The neat thing about it is my brother just got his wife pregnant too, so my parents are going to become grandparents twice over in the span of a month. That's pretty nuts!
I'm just glad we waited until now. Emotionally, I've been ready for a few years, but financially, we had to wait. After being together for five and a half years, and married for two and a half, it was time to start trying. And now, success!!!
I can't wait for next July. I'm going to have a little me to take care of! I'll be able to teach him or her all that I have learned. I just hope that I'll be able to provide my child with everything that I didn't have when I was young. I hope I can teach my child the value of money, respect, trust, and love. I know that since this is my first child, I'm bound to make mistakes, but let's just hope I don't screw it up any worse than I was screwed up.
Then again... it's highly unlikely I could screw it up that bad. At least, that's the optimist in me.
So, yeah... I'm going to be a father... weird...

Congrats Wayne. Got a little girl of my own. Can't believe she's 5 already. Glad I waited too, because I got an alpha female on my hands and she's a little pistol. Apple didn't fall far from the tree with this one.

The big thing now is for my wife and I to figure out what we're going to do. Now that she's actually pregnant, we have problems we need to solve. For example, how are we going to handle day care? Should we work opposite shifts to avoid that problem, but then go without seeing each other very much? What am I going to do with school? If we do opposite shifts, then I'll need to start taking online courses. The problem is, those take a lot more time than actually showing up in class, and once I have a kid, time will obviously be an issue. We'll figure it out, I'm sure, but there's a lot of planning ahead of us!

Whoops. I forgot to tell everyone. The baby is a girl! In about three more months, Isabella Lynn will be coming into this world. I can't wait!
I am now officially broke for the next 20 years. Go me!
