My good old laptop has served me well over 5 years now. But the HD is dying according to fsck. i bought a new HD but it seems i cant find a service manual on how to replace it.

I mean i can screw it open and so on but i was wondering if any of you have some contacts with Acer or even the service manual for :

Acer Aspire 1510

The model i have is 1511 LMI but that is the same thing as i understand it.

Seriously; first hit in google

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/no ... _1510.html

Searched for "Acer Aspire 1510 manual"

Quote:
Hard disk upgrade
It is possible to replace your hard disk with a higher capacity drive
when you need more storage space. Your computer uses a 9.5mm 2.5-
inch Enhanced-IDE hard disk. Consult your dealer if you need to
perform a hard disk upgrade.

Get that screwdriver. Chances are it's just under a panel on the bottom of the laptop.
